Coordinate recomputation, no significance computed: the pipeline's measured asymmetry axis (221°, −24°) is RA 5.6h, Dec −17°, in Lepus, at ecliptic latitude −41°. Its separations from hardcoded reference directions are 13.9° (published Planck power-asymmetry direction), 23.9° (Dipole Repeller), 34.1° (CMB Cold Spot).

CORRECTED 2026-07-26 and relabelled from finding to observation: both the axis and the reference roster are INPUTS to this computation, not outputs of it. 'Recurring' is dropped, and so is the inference that −41° ecliptic latitude argues against a solar-system systematic — under isotropy 34% of all sky directions lie at least that far off the ecliptic.

Falsify-box — how to kill this claim

UNTESTED This claim is pure coordinate arithmetic over hand-entered literals, so the kill test is a REPRODUCTION test about the computation, not a test of nature - the record must say so. (a) ARITHMETIC (passed): recompute the galactic->ICRS and galactic->barycentric-ecliptic transforms of (221 deg, -24 deg) and the three separations independently of astropy. DEAD if any quoted value moves by more than 1 deg. I ran this: 13.91 / 23.87 / 34.13 deg against run_lepus.py's hardcoded ROSTER, all within 0.05 deg of the claim, and 1 - sin(41 deg) = 0.344 checks out. This limb has passed. (b) INPUTS (open - the live limb): every roster position and the axis itself are hand-entered literals, not measurements. DEAD if any of the three reference literals the statement depends on - CMB Cold Spot (209, -57), power-asymmetry / Planck low-l dipole direction (212, -13), Dipole Repeller (247, -30) - differs from its published catalogue position by more than 5 deg, OR if any quoted separation changes by more than 5 deg when the published value is substituted. This limb is demonstrably live from registry-internal material alone: run_asymmetry_deep.py carries (221, -20) for the same published Planck low-l dipole direction, 11.1 deg away from run_lepus.py's (212, -13), and substituting it collapses the claim's headline 13.9 deg to 4.0 deg. The same two scripts also disagree on the l=2/l=3 axis, (237,63) versus (238,60). (c) CONDITIONAL, only if the registry keeps the word 'recurring': DEAD if an isotropy Monte Carlo - axis held fixed at the measured direction, only the Cold Spot and the Dipole Repeller treated as independent directions (the Planck power-asymmetry direction is the same measurement, not an independent one), look-elsewhere corrected over the 11-entry ROSTER - returns p > 0.05. Note the correct single-direction probabilities are AXIAL, because run_lepus.py's ang() applies abs(): 1 - cos(23.9 deg) = 8.6 percent and 1 - cos(34.1 deg) = 17.2 percent, not 4.3 and 8.6 percent. Their product is 1.5 percent before any look-elsewhere penalty over 11 entries, so this limb is LIKELY to fire and 'recurring' should be deleted rather than defended.
