USR-2026-0026 · CMB

The power asymmetry's excess over ΛCDM is confined to ℓ ≲ 40. The raw amplitude falls from A ≈ 0.107 to ≈ 0.02 across ℓ = 2–220, but the ΛCDM null falls across the same bands and the observed decline has not been shown to exceed it. Under a conservative mask the significance is 0.94σ (p = 0.173).

PROVISIONAL excess confined to ℓ ≲ 40; 0.94σ under a conservative mask re-run & confirmed 2026-07-09 (R0 — founder CI; independence pending)

CORRECTED 2026-07-26: the raw-amplitude decline was quoted as the evidence; it must be stated as excess over the null, which has not been demonstrated. The registered '~1.4σ' was a hardcoded literal in a narrative print string — that script never converts p to σ at all. Under this seam's own one-sided convention p = 0.173 is 0.94σ.

Falsify-box — how to kill this claim

UNTESTED Compare the OBSERVED band-to-band decline against the LambdaCDM null's OWN decline, using the per-band 300-realization nulls run_asymmetry_deep.py already generates (BANDS = l 2-40, 41-80, 81-140, 141-220). (1) DEAD if median A_null(l 2-40) / median A_null(l 141-220) >= 5.35 - the factor the claim's own numbers quote for the observed decline (0.107/0.02) - because then isotropic LambdaCDM skies reproduce the entire 'physical fingerprint' and the raw decline carries no information about the sky. (2) DEAD if the MEAN of the three higher bands' one-sided p-values (41-80, 81-140, 141-220; Planck SMICA; these are already computed at line 126 and printed at lines 131-133) is <= 0.173, the claim's own low-band value - i.e. small scales are collectively at least as anomalous relative to their own nulls as large scales, so the excess is not confined to l <~ 40. (3) DEAD if a re-run of the l 2-40 band with >= 2000 realizations and the (n+1)/(N+1) estimator returns p > 0.5, i.e. the observed low-l amplitude falls below the LambdaCDM median and there is no large-scale excess at all.

Status, honestly

CORRECTED 2026-07-26 by the kill-test sweep; the audit flag it carried is resolved. Status here is computed from evidence — the author cannot set it, and neither can we. Independent reproduction would move it; nothing else will.
