USR-2026-0025 · CMB

The asymmetry axis is not a foreground: raw single-frequency asymmetries (0.212/0.161/0.476) and the 143-217 GHz difference point at the galaxy (within 3°), while the cleaned maps agree with each other — WMAP ILC 0.139 at 25° and Planck SMICA 0.151 at 24° from Lepus.

PROVISIONAL diagnostic — axis is not foregrounds re-run & confirmed 2026-07-09 (R0 — founder CI; independence pending)

Foreground forensics: dirty maps point at the galactic plane, cleaned maps from two different instruments point at the same off-galaxy axis with nearly the same amplitude. Whatever the tilt is, it is not dust.

Falsify-box — how to kill this claim

UNTESTED Push a FOREGROUND TEMPLATE through the identical disk-variance-dipole estimator used for the cleaned maps (band-limited l <= 40, |b| > 40, 8 deg disks, Planck common mask) - e.g. the Planck Commander thermal-dust amplitude map for dust, Haslam 408 MHz for synchrotron. DEAD if the template's own asymmetry axis lands within 25 deg of Lepus (221 deg, -24 deg), i.e. as close as the claim's own quoted cleaned-map offsets of 24 deg and 25 deg - because then 'the cleaned maps point off-galaxy toward Lepus' ceases to discriminate: the foreground points there too. Equivalently DEAD if a simulation of LambdaCDM plus a template foreground residual at the level plausibly left in SMICA/ILC reproduces A = 0.14-0.15 within 25 deg of Lepus.

Status, honestly

R0 pass 2026-07-09 | kill test added by the 2026-07-26 sweep. Status here is computed from evidence — the author cannot set it, and neither can we. Independent reproduction would move it; nothing else will.
