Falsify-box — how to kill this claim
UNTESTED
The load-bearing content is cleaning-independence (the summary's 'stable feature of the sky'), so the test must probe additional cleanings and the significance floor. (a) EXTENSION: run the identical battery from run_boundary_angles.py on public cleanings it omits - Planck SEVEM, the fourth PR3 component-separation method (the battery uses only SMICA, COMMANDER, NILC), and the PR4/NPIPE maps. The claim is DEAD if any of them gives p(D_2) > 0.317 (D_2 > 650 uK^2 in the script's own plateau null, i.e. within 1 sigma of LambdaCDM) or cut-sky S_1/2 with p > 0.00135, because 'survives all map cleanings' and 'anomalous at >3 sigma in every cleaning' would then be false of the available cleanings. Note also that three of the four current cleanings share one instrument AND one mask (planck_mask.fits, MAPS table lines 46-49), so the battery tests 2 independent datasets, not 4. (b) MC FLOOR: the '>3 sigma in every cleaning' figure comes from cut_null(n=2500) with p clipped at max(p, 1/2500) = 0.0004 -> 3.35 sigma (line 153), so '>3 sigma' IS the Monte-Carlo floor. Re-run with N >= 10^5 and the simulations put through the same beam plus nside-16 pixel window as the data; DEAD if any cleaning's cut-sky p >= 0.00135.
